Dustin and Ariane Spreading KINDness with SOUPS – DA KIND SOUPS
(It’s based off our names!
NUMBER ONE: The reason(s) we are making a change to our business model
At Da Kind Soups, we have treasured the journey of becoming an established gathering place of kindness while serving and feeding the Evergreen community for over nine years.
It has been a dedicated labor of love for Dustin and me to devote ourselves every week while balancing our family time raising two sons and spending time with our parents. The experience has exceeded our expectations in ways we couldn’t have imagined.
While we LOVE creating innovating and amazing soups, it’s equally challenging to maintain the training, management, and staffing demands required to consistently ensure that we are giving every customer the highest quality experience every time they visit our restaurant.
By transitioning from our small soup restaurant into an expanded soup kitchen, we will be able to focus on making soups for our Soup Loving community knowing that every element of our precious product is of the highest quality.
This conversion also allows us to make more of Chef Dustin’s incredible soups available to more people. A goal of ours as well as a common request from our customers, that we’ve been working toward for years. We are so excited to make this happen!
NUMBER TWO: Kickstarting our transition
Our Kickstarter (an online way to “crowd-fund”) is OFF AND RUNNING!! Woohoo! We are so very thankful to our Souper Supporters who have already jumped on board to help us meet our goal. We are currently at 2% of our goal… so we have a souper long way to go, but we are optimistic as always and pumped to be working towards our big change.
As a thank you for pledging, our soupporters are able to choose from a variety of meaningful rewards, including donations of soup made to our local EChO food bank! Thank you to our Souper Soupporters!!
NUMBER THREE: Where and How You can Help Da Kind
Go directly to Kickstarter and make a pledge. Please take a look: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dakindsoups/soup-is-kindness-in-da-bag
If it’s weird and doesn’t make sense, and you still want to help, if you need help understanding with the process, come on in, we’d love to sit down with you, explain everything, get you something to eat, thank you ever so kindly and then give you a t-shirt for making your pledge in the store!
The process of making this transition from our little soup shop to a custom kitchen is moving quickly. We will begin renovations in April and plan to reopen the storefront, dedicated to selling our delicious soups, exclusively in the bags, beginning again in May.
Your support of our Kickstarter will help us to meet this speedy timeline, purchase the equipment we need and enable us to continue producing our high quality food in Evergreen.
A Souper Big Thank you to our Soupreme Soup Lovers near and far who have already pledged to our Campaign! Every contribution is enormously appreciated. Your help is invaluable and our gratitude is immense.
